@rawrawrmonstar You’re mostly right. We do encourage good perf via our leaderboards and have a lovely community that puts in the work to make sites fast. But the popular choice is Gatsby and in comparison Jekyll/Hugo/Eleventy get credit for what they don’t do that Gatsby includes by default 🤷♂️On twitter.com

@rawrawrmonstar In that same vein and maybe as a differentiator from some of the other SSGs, Eleventy really tries to encourage things that exist in our ecosystem to do as much at build time as possible—our syntax highlighter is a good example of this. No runtime JS.Permalink On twitter.com
